Jam Crew

Jam Crew is dedicated to assuring hip hop's recognition as a socially significant form of artistic expression.

Jam Crew has performed in Chicago, Illinois at the historical Chicago Theater and in Virginia at the Jazz and Tap Festival. Jam Crew has also danced in numerous performances in Washington D.C., including a show at the Kennedy Center Theater Lab, the Help for the Homeless Walkathon, the Washington Parents' Home and at the Jack Guidone Theater in its own sold-out performances.

Representing the universal appeal and influence of hip-hop culture and the dance vocabulary that has evolved from it, members of Jam Crew are of many ethnic, religious, social and economic backgrounds. The company is just beginning it's own outreach program within the D.C. community and is pleased to work with D.A.R.E. as D.A.R.E. Dancers.

Jam crew has been hired to bring six programs to the Washington D.C. area. In each school, teachers will educate children on the history of hip-hop, while teaching them fun and challenging movements used in performing.
